Dariya Medynska
Architectural Designer, M Architects LLC
Architectural Designer, Morrissey Design LLC
As both a talented designer and passionate educator, Dariya Medynska’s unique architectural approach is defined by a combined love of design and community. Born in Ukraine, Dariya immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of 10, and credits her cultural background with inspiring her creative spirit and strong work ethic. Her experiences in a tight-knit immigrant community taught her to admire relationships between people and built environments, and eventually inspired her to pursue both a BS and Masters in architecture at Temple University.
From 2018-2019, Dariya took part in a project to expand the Ukrainian Educational Cultural Center in Jenkintown, PA, which featured an innovative flexible gallery and event space. She also partnered with the Ukranian Federation of America to curate a children’s gallery and charity auction for orphanages in Ukraine, and has been an educator in varied subjects—like mathematics and dance—ever since she could work.
At Morrissey, Dariya continues to exercise her artistic eye, spatial configuration skills, interdisciplinary mindset, and love of learning. Invested in the future of architecture and development, she is also pursuing a Real Estate licence. Dariya believes in designing “adaptable and resilient spaces that center around occupants and the environment, starting with simple solutions like environmentally friendly materials to create open, functional, and flexible spaces.” With personal interests as diverse as her design approach, Dariya is a Senior Dancer at Voloshky Ukrainian Dance Ensemble and an avid reader of nonfiction literature.
