We were tasked with designing a farmhouse-modern space with Asian influences in the legendary Ambler Cabaret location. As with many of our projects, this design involved seriously focusing on the budget. This is Chef/Owner Harrison Kim’s first solo venture, and we were intent on maximizing his capital to provide much-needed resources for marketing and operations.
We started with a dark shell, which we adorned with new polished concrete floors while exposing the building’s steel skeleton. We skinned the walls with high wainscoting and faux white-washed brick. We sourced locally-milled walnut table tops with salvaged iron bases, along with wood and steel chairs.
We designed custom banquettes and a host station, which integrates dimensional branding on a customized logo that we designed. We conceived a striking custom storefront which compliments the restaurant’s interior and stands out amongst Ambler’s busy promenade.
