We were charged with designing an intimate yet open space that maintained the character of the existing historic building interior, while incorporating modern custom millwork and seating. Additionally, we were tasked with creating unique design elements to showcase the client’s art collection.
In order to create a more intimate experience it was important to the client that the entire culinary team can see who they are cooking for. The centerpiece of the design is an open kitchen, which features a wood-fired grill and a custom-made pasta table that sits beneath a sizeable skylight.
All of the millwork for the seating nooks on the dining room’s perimeter utilized a minimal design esthetic, as the space is bathed in natural light.
